At the beginning of every episode, a big Hollywood studio (in the form of an iPhone shortcut) assigns us, the contestants, a new project consisting of 4 components randomly generated by automation wizardry: Genre, Tone, Demographic, and a Studio Mandate.
Over the next hour, we will generate a completely original feature film idea from scratch, using the assigned criteria. Let's just hope you're in the mood for a whimsical political thriller for teenage boys starring Whoopi Goldberg.
At the end of the episode, we are forced to pitch the idea to one of our talented friends. We ask them actual dumb focus group questions: "How likely are you to see this movie? Would you recommend it to a friend?" They of course answer yes and we celebrate a job well done.
